Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 I hear on other phones, changing the density can "improve resolution" (haven't got a clue how) Anyway, I tried various values on the blade, and every time, the screen looked the same (or maybe I just have bad eyesight) Does changing the density effect the blade at all, visually, or otherwise? I'm guessing no :D

Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) I changed two lines in build.prop about screen density that were near each other, as i had no idea which one is to do with which aspect. I set them both to the same value and rebooted each change, of course, but haven't noticed anything. I am running cyanogen nightly 25, and using the froyo "launcher2.apk", if that makes any difference. Edited March 23, 2011 by Mushroom_Lord
Guest gremlinman Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Trying it in Root tools [APP]. I cant see differance ethier.
Guest lsweeting Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Trying it in Root tools [APP]. I cant see differance ethier. I've used the apps LCD density (free) and LCD density changer (paid) on both the stock orange rom and flb r10b. It definitely makes a difference for me. Using adw ex I've got 5x7 app drawer and 6x5 home screens, reduced it to 190 and all the app icons are smaller, before they were almost overlapping in the app drawer. Text in menus is also smaller, meaning more fits into the screen. Just makes the entire phone look crisper and feel much les clumsy to use!
Guest shadowninty Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 I keep mine at 200 DPI... more detail on screen :D
Guest macman1 Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 I keep mine at 200 DPI... more detail on screen :D i agree 200 is just right

Guest Rotmann Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 You do realise that after changing the value, you have to restart to see something, don't you?
