You don't need to set swap on your sd (but next LCR will be able to use it). You need to enable apps2sd to expand your storage. I you don't do it, you are still using internal sotage.

Then you will have the info in LCR Settings / Storage about ext2 partition usage

How do I enable apps2sd

and whats the difference between ext2 3 and 4

I never bothered before cause i had only a 8gb card from my old phone and it was pretty full with music video and pictures, but now I have 32gb I have room to spare and its class 10 vs 4 so now its more then fast enough

One more question how come LCR-F only reads my internal storage as 256mb, The liquid E specs says it has 512mb

here is what lcr settings is telling me my storage is

system

159mb of 200mb

data

176mb of 200mb

cache

9mb of 41.88mb

sdcard fat 32

528kb of 28.66gb

sdcard ext2

159mb of 200mb

as posted in my first post i set 512mb for swap and 2gb for ext2

Someone please help!!!!!! I know it's kinda a noob question but I've tried everything I can think of, I created the partition in malez recovery, I've tried various sizes, 2 GB 1 GB 512 MB, I've tried different formats (ext2, ext3, and even ext,4), I've installed scripts apps2sd scripts, I've turned apps2sd on in terminal, I've followed directions from many posts across the www and still all I can read is 200 mb ext on LCR Settings plus the other flaws I've noticed, I've only done a bin flash once and that was when I first got the phone went from the stock Roger's (Canadian Wireless Provider) rom andriod 2.1 to the stock update to android 2.2, then I've flashed LCR-F 2.0 over it, I would love to know why I only have half my internal memory to begin with, my thought that lcr-f 2.0 is really designed for the Liquid A1, not the Liquid E, but it wouldn't matter if i could get my ext partition to work. Please anyone!

note edit was for spelling errors.

Easiest method I know for checking a2sd on ext size (and if it's working) I use is reading the last lines on Titanium backup, it says something like:

Internal: 209MB(78.4 MB free)

SD Card: 7.16GB (5.12GB free)

SD Card (a2sd): 719MB(661 mb free)

btw these are my readings on Liquid E with 756mb ext2 a2sd and 8gb sd card.

hope it helps

Thanks there is a difference which shows me there is only a 200MB Partition missing out of the 32 GB

Internal 209 MB (29.7MB free)

SD Card 31.7 GB (31.2 free)

SD Card 209MB (37.7MB free)

and in regular setting it tells me there is only 29.61GB on the Card, (consistant to LCR Settings) *changed partition sizes since first post

Maybe the oc kernel does not support swap and ext..

if u use LCR-F 2.0.......u may make ext from recovery 0.61 to use ext.

if u use swap software, u can make it from recvery 0.61. but LCR-F 2.0 not support for swap. pls remember.

and make sure everytime u make this is a format your sd card. back up after to use. :D
