Call volume very low

I have only used my SF a few times for phone calls and both times I have had to put the person on loud speaker cos I could hardly hear them! is there anything I can do to rectify this.

Have you pressed the volume UP Key during the call? What ROM are you using? Maybe it's faulty. Try to call customer service or mail box and test if you can hear that better.

Hi - did we get a solution to this?

I went form a gen1 to gen2 and installed cyanogenmod at the same time

Everything is great except the call volume is practically inaudible. I have tried flashing the modaco rom but it just hangs at the green robot. I've changed the volume with the buttons, tried various apps and hacks and haven't got anywhere. Are there any suggestions?
