App2sd won't work on my desire!

Hi guys!

I have a problem using App2sd on my HTC Desire! I have it rooted and installed Modaco - Gingerbread custom ROM with A2SD+ and partitioned my 16gig Sandisk MicroSD with Clockworkmod's Rom Manager so everything should work in theory but in reality it's not. Every time i install something on the phone it goes to the internal memory and I don't know how to move the apps to the ext3 partition manually. (the reason i want to use A2SD+ is because i use several programs that can't be moved to the SD by froyo's own app2sd implementation and thanks to that I'm always low on memory)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And I thank you in advance for taking the time to respond to this post!

Use "quick system info" and check the status of A2SD partition. You won't be able to tell if it's working just by checking where it's installed because the phone isn't able to detect that you're using A2SD.

Manually moving the files to SD is pointless because they are already on EXT partition if A2SD works.

About the space problem:

Even though you're using A2SD you still use the phones internal memory because A2SD only moves the /data/app directory (A2SD+ also moves Dalvik cache) but the /data/data directory which uses most of internal memory is still on your phone and that's why you're running out of memory.

Thank You!

I see now what you mean. It works.
