Guest avenuena Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 A couple of weeks ago I used setcpu to overclock my liquid which was running the miui rom and right after that the phone froze. I would then remove the battery and restart the phone only to have it freeze again at the pattern lock screen. After a couple more times of this the phone stopped turning on, it would just vibrate. When I hold vol up + camera + power it vibrates 2 times and then its detected by my pc. Acer A1 download tool also recognizes it as Connected AMSS. Thing is I dont know what to do after this. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Guest sud3ki Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 If you have access to malez recovery try to wipe all then flash again your rom. After reboot your liquid and it should restart normally
Guest avenuena Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 By that Im guessing you mean volume down + camera + power? I am unable to get into the recovery.
Guest sud3ki Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 So you can't access to recovery but acer download tool works so try to get the latest bin then unzip your bin in folder acer a1 bin for example. after on acer download tool on original image browse to folder where is your bin (acer a1 bin in my example) Now you have just to click on start and wait.do not disconnect until the end it should be long sometimes normally the phone will reboot alone when the flash finish
Guest avenuena Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) Ok i did it but after one of the parts finishes it keeps showing Processing ~ Do not remove Usb Cable!! But it shows that the device isnt connected. Edited March 25, 2011 by avenuena
Guest sud3ki Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Ok try to plug your phone on other usb and unplug another device like printers.i had this problem with mine and after that it was ok for me
Guest avenuena Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I unplugged all devices (keyboard, tablet, webcam etc) except for the mouse. This time the phone started vibrating with all notification lights flashing when it got to the processing dsp1 part. After that the acer a1 liquid tool said not connected (information; Change mode. Please wait. Download mode => OS download mode.
Guest sud3ki Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 What version of acer download tool do you have and what bin are you using ?

Guest avenuena Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 I downloaded the new one like you said but same progress. It gets to that one part and then fails to detect the device.

Guest Splux Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 I downloaded the new one like you said but same progress. It gets to that one part and then fails to detect the device. Have you tried to unplug it and then plug it in again in the same usb-drive when it doesn't detect the phone anymore? I remember I had to do it for a couple of months ago...
Guest avenuena Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Thanks for you suggestion, I have tried unplugging it and plugging it in when it stops detecting but it doesn't work.
Guest Splux Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Thanks for you suggestion, I have tried unplugging it and plugging it in when it stops detecting but it doesn't work. This is just something I THINK (observe, THINK) I have read something about here on the forums... If you are using Win7 or Vista, try flashing from a computer with XP.
Guest avenuena Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 I switched to a computer running windows XP with no luck.
