Guest 2old2mould Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Anyone know anything about this beast? Is this the same as the Vega's smaller sibling? http://www.saverstore.com/product/20072505...WiFi-HDMI-Webca Obviously no GAPPS/Market but I'm sure it wouldn't be long before someone added that to it. 1.2Ghz Processor sounds quite sexy. Anyone got one? 2o2m.
Guest Lennyuk Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 1.2ghz yes, but not dual core. Probably a resistive screen Looks like a poor battery I would stay well away

Guest boh Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 And, 800*600 screen resolution.... Yuck! :D but it is a 8 inch display.
Guest 2old2mould Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 So, consensus is that it's no Vega but for £160 it might not be a bad buy as a simple email/web device. Especially running Froyo. I agree though, rubbish battery life!
Guest godinandroid Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 The vega is available for £203, so for another £43 you could have some awesome.
Guest blcollier Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 but it is a 8 inch display. The Galaxy Tab only has a 7 inch screen yet that manages 1024*600. You may not find something like that in a budget tablet, but the Vega is the only "budget" Android tab I've seen that is really worth considering. That's why I bought it :D
Guest yabbas Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 I _wonder_ if it's a 600MHz dual core, similar to the Telechips - with a sales "pitch" that states "1.2GHz" (2 * 600MHz) ... they do that a lot!
