Thanks, Just flashed 0614 and restoring nandroid backup now.

Same here. I have reset the battery stats as well to check out if it consumes less battery now.

I'll be back at that!

my first impressions from new baseband :

call quality like in 0606, perhaps a little bit louder sound (positive for me, you can reduce volume anyway if you like to), i think better signal ...

didn´t get 4 bars @ home ever before ...

Switched from 0502 to 0614 on MR17.

Sound is louder for you and the person that you call compared to 0502. This is very good! Telephone partners sometimes complained that my voice is too low when I speak quietly/beginning to start whispering on 0502. On 0614 my voice is better to hear for the telephone partner.

GPS not tested yet.

Switching from WLAN to HSDPA and back seems to be faster now.

Thank you Paul for the new baseband!

My phone wont boot anymore since i tried updating to the latest ril.

It comes to the LG logo with the progress bar and after a few seconds the progress bar stalls.

I tried reverting to the 0606 ril but i got the same problems then.

I also tried my nandroid backup and some MCR's that i for sure know theyre working but i dont get it to boot.

(offcourse with a wipe in between them.)

Anyone got an idea?

hmm, reflashed the latest ril again. phone was stil hanging at startup. i noticed i had the ext4 to ext3 app still on my sd card. (i had r19 already working and already converted to ext3 so dont know if this really solved it)

so this are the steps i took to get it to boot again.

flash latest ril

reboot into recovery

do a wipe

run ext4toext3 file

restored the lastest MCR on my sdcard

reboot

and the phone luckily started booting again.

I'm having the same problem.

But i can make it booting to a previous nandroid backup, just not the latest two.

Gonna try your method.

+1 here. Restored via nvflash to stock rom, rooted, installed cwm and reflashed fr19b5 from scratch - guess I'll wait before I attempt another try flashing to the latest baseband. Luckily I had a titanium backup mirrored on my PC ...

Humph,

I've been unsuccessful with 614.

My phone fails to boot. Tried restoring backups wiping and flashing fresh roms, reflashing radios, no luck with any of them.

I've restored my phone using nvflash and tried again, but failed again, nvflashing and going back to 606 for now

Yeap. It worked.

MY steps were:

1 - Enter recovery;

2 - Restore nandroid backup

3 - Aplly the zip Back to ext 4

4 - Aplly FR19Beta5 rom

5 - Reboot!

In my case it was the ext thing that kept the phone in booting loop.

smarflashed 0614 w/o issues, no problems with booting of Fr19b5, maybe a little bit better signal for me, that`s for now. Thanks Paul!

Just updated to 0614 Baseband, will test tomorrow its functionality. By now what seems very weird to me is that my phone doesn't update the market application (the most recent one I think is 2.2.6). Usually this update would be almost instantaneous, but now I'm stuck with the old market app. Admittedly, not a big issue but surely it's strange! I will monitor it to see if it decides to start the process by itself.

By the way, I'm on stock ROM by now.

i´ve a really strange behavior since i´ve updated to 614.

3g won´t work anymore and if i switched it on it shows me "no net available". sometimes it is available but then the connection is slower than 2g.

i´m on fr18b2 and flashed ril 606 already

anyone here with the same problems?

Hi,

I'm on V10b, baseband 0405. I tried upgrading to 0614.

I have got the same problem. Booting stalls at LG logo and progress bar.

Can you please let me know where can I find that ext4toext3 file ?

Thank you.

Mine wont enter that update screen anymore :). I press volume down and plug in the USB connector and nothing happens but the LG logo appearing and then it "reboots" and its keeps going that

i have noticed a significant increase in battery usage since flashing from 0502 to 0614, though this could be a change in the cm nightlies im flashing. anyway i have noticed better performance, signal and volume in calls since flashing this new baseband

I have noticed the same thing going from the Korean (606?) to 614. Battery is pretty crap again.
