Guest ViPaSoft Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Hi, I'm using the Modaco r8 ROM from Paul and I used the Kitchen to cook it. It works perfectly as far as I can tell, but I just decided to move a few apps to SD using the Setting/Application section and and I get this error; 'Failed to move application. There is not enough storage left.' I've checked my SD card and I still have almost 3Gb free on the 8Gb Class 6 SD. Am I or have I done something wrong? I've also tried using an APPS2SD app from the market, which allowed me to move a couple of apps then gave the same message. The card is fine because I've had it a while and after the errors I tried copying a few files to it using ESFileExplorer from my PC and it copied 82Mb without issue. Thanks in advance for any advice that can be offered.
Guest Minimonkey Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) Use link2sd you will need a ext2 partition on the SD card, Search this forum http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...xt-2-partition/ Edited March 26, 2011 by Minimonkey
Guest ViPaSoft Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Oh thanks, I've already got Links2sd on my Vega. It must have been part of Pauls Kitchen. What I did recently was swap my Class 6 SD card from my phone to my Vega but all I did was copy the files from the class 2 one to my pc and then copy them onto my class 6 card. Do I need to format the whole card to ext2 or just a section of it. Thanks again.
Guest Minimonkey Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Just a part of it. Make sure you backup the SD card first.

Do you think it would be better to re-install the device because I don't know what apps will need to go on the ext2 bit anyway when I copy them back.
Guest Minimonkey Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Shouldn't matter. Just copy the data from the sd card then copy back after.

I reinstalled anyway after creating an ext2 partition on my sd card using easeus 7.1 home ed. When I go into links2sd/storage, it shows the drive, but but states N/A underneath. What am I missing? I set the partition to about 1gb. EDIT: Sorted thanks, I forgot to make the partition 'primary', I had left it as 'logical' Edited March 27, 2011 by ViPaSoft
