For the heck of it, here is a Gen 1 only re-spin on kallt_kaffe's latest masterpiece. Kudos...

Differences are:

• Straight one boot-image ROM for Gen 1 phones only
  
• AOSP contacts/dialler/SMS rather than ZTE
  
• HW accel enabled
  
• StageFright enabled (not http)
  
• Autobrightness behaviour enhanced
  
• Battery circle mod included (see LH screenshot)
  
• Alternative notification icons included (see LH screenshot)
  
• Astro replaces Filer
  
• Fancy Widget included (see screenshot)
  
• G. Talk, Protips etc removed
  
• Alternative boot animation included
  
• Google DNS server IP added

  As above Number 2, but with no Hardware acceleration, LauncherPro replaces Launcher2. See RH screenshot. Very smoooooth... with this tip:

I'll do a couple of variations over the next day or so, that would be one! Since you asked... :-)

(You will be able to flash over the present version without any wiping, so no data/settings loss.)

Not under Froyo, no. It was under Eclair.

Why drop Gen2 support? It's just another boot image and two libs and the original installer-script in RLS3 has the needed logic to choose the right one.

Just installed this, all went fine until i opened browser and started typing. as soon as i press 'go' the browser force closes.

i cleared the dalvic cache, i did a factory reset etc...:/

Odd - just tried it on my test phone again - works fine and has done for a few days of hammer - you are using the stock browser?

No Titanium back-ups or similar?? I'm intrigued now since the browser is no different to the stock SS RLS3. And 150+ downloads and no apparent issues elsewhere...

Okay SS works fine I'm posting from it now. Seems much more sluggish than did your Tom.

Yep SS standard rom works fine but as per my above edit its not as slick as your rom.
