Can't change notification sounds.

Hi everyone

kinda new here so I apologise if I posted in the wrong place etc xD

ok for some strange reason when I try to change my notification sounds on my ZTE they won't change. it always stays the same! even if I choose a default sound instead of my MP3's it will just go back to the previous sound.

currently running the froyo rom and, I've even tried ringdroid.

any help would be greatly appreciated :D

sounds are in /system/media/audio/notifications

they are all .ogg files

perhaps you have to use a .ogg not a .mp3

I got it from here :D 2.2 I believe it was called but that's all I know I'm afraid. I'm new to the whole rooting business lol. tis my first "Smart phone"

Download an app called "Ringdroid" (free)

Choose / edit your desired notification sound

Save it as a notification and set it as default :D

Easily the best and fastest way to set notifications as the above methods are temperamental at best (Ever since the Pulse I couldn't get the above method working on any android phone :D)

Try resetting permissions in ClockWork perhaps and see if that helps the issue :D
