Its a tricky subject - if you release a game free of charge in ONE country - surely that makes it free.

Distribution of the said game is also already in the UK on the iPhone APP Store.

Will the UK distribution be any different (even with an MD5) to the USA one? - I doubt it.

However I do not condone downloading APK's from the internet - this forum is not about that.

One the positive note - Angry Birds RIO is Free in the country it is distributed in - your not preventing money from going to developers that made it - you are being a bit bad by seeking out a way to get it early.

Speaking for myself I don't see a problem

The rule states

Posts will be censored by myself or my moderation team if the contain or link to:

Illegal / pirated / cracked software or sites that host such software

Nintendo emulators / ROMs or sites hosting them (in light of Nintendo's legal stance)

I read that as it's ok to discuss it but NOT ok to put any links to where you might find a specific apk, and if someone said do a search on www.blah.com it's on there that would be wrong also

But that's just my view

I was trying to be sarcastic with my link above. If you click on it you will see why. If it might cause a problem then delete it.

Personally i wouldn't download a dodgy bit torrent file and install it on my phone.

Derp derp, I just realised what lmgtfy actually was. I keep thinking it's an URL shortener, sorry for being trigger happy.

But the thread was straying into piracy land, as wasn't Rio only free for one day, in America...then, another at it's actual price, and then free again on real market?

Android Market version has adds. That's why it's free.

If you play it with data and wifi off you get no ads. :D
