GemRB - anyone got it working

When I try running it, I get "error downloading data2.zip". A bit of googling comes with the advice that you have to manually extract the .zip file form the .apk file, then manually extract the contents of the .zip fiel and put it in your app-data directory. But even after doing that it either complains about the same problem, or just hangs forever saying it's initialising.

Anyone got eny further?

I've had it working but it was back in the days of the stock rom so Baldurs Gate 2 ran like a dog and I ditched it. I do remember it being a total pain to get working and I can't remember how I managed it so this is more a don't give up than a helpful post!
