Guest Road Runner Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Hello again, Windows doesn't like sd cards that have more than one partition. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&cli...mp;aql=&oq= I recently created an ext2 partition on my sd card, and I was wondering if anyone has a comfortable way to write straight to the SD card from windows (that is, putting the micro sd in an adapter and sticking it in your laptop, which will lead MS system to report that the drive needs to be formatted.) It may be achieved by flipping the removable bit on the sd card, at least if the android os is not using that bit for anything important. (uh well a longer tweak can be written to flip that bit before you mount the sd card...) Anyway I haven't tried it myself, just checking if anyone had fiddled with it, or do you all just prefer to simply use a usb cable... http://www.ehow.com/how_5856009_create-mul...-usb-drive.html Shawn
Guest Lens_flare Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Windows just see fat and not see an Ext.. -> I have see lesser free space but it works, no format no annoying massages.. Win 7 x64, usb cable&cardreader methods. What's wrong with my computer? :D
