Guest kalsi20 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Hi, i was running Jellyfish RLS9 and my phone began lagging abit, so i tried to update the software to CMOD 7. I didnt have the file on the card. Anyway i restored to factory settings and then like an idiot formatted my memory card in the process deleteing everything. My phone still runs clockwork recovery and ive put jellyfish on my card (using another fone to connect to laptop as i canot connect the phone to anything) however ive had no luck when installing from zip/sd card. There are no files on my memorycard except for the Jellyfish rar., clockwork mod, rom manager and androot all of which i put on the card again. I would appreciate any help on this topic. Thank You.

If you have the Jellyfish fil then select install zip from SDCard. You should then be able to choose the JJ zip file and flash JJ9 back on. Failing that you can mount your SDCard in CWM and connect it to your PC to check the contents of the SDCard.

Load CWM Power + Volume Down) Select mount usb and copy the file onto your SDCard. The others are right though it needs to be a zip so re-download the original zip (if possible). Is this a custom rom you have made taking out APK files etc? Didn't think JJ came as a .Rar
Guest Ron=) Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 If you still cant do it. Try a TPT ROM.

Didn't think JJ came as a .Rar Nope not a custom rom i have made. This is where i downloaded it from: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...01-24-oled-tft/ The thing is i have absolutley nothing on my sd card so wen i put these files on my mem card nothing happens as thier are no directories on the card. When installing JJ9 the clockwork begins to install however it stops all of a sudden. and wen i do reboot the android comes up but nothing more happens.

I`m going to guess you have a "Duff" card, try using a different card and see what happens then. Good Luck :D Shorter of breath, & One day closer to Death.

Ive tried using a different card; i put it in the the fone run CW and format sd card..it says done and wen i mount the sd card on PC it doesnt show anyfiles on the sd card. Is there anyway of me getting the default files (Android, logs, Whatsapp, DCIM etcc) on the memory card i think that may be the main issue as thier are no directories for the firmware to be installed i think. However i may be wrong. I miss my android B) lol

JJ uses: Clockwork Recovery 2.5.0.9 or 2.5.1.3 or 2.5.1.8 to install the ROM and addons. If you have a later version of CWM then maybe downgrade it or look at using SS instead. Just to check it might also be worth trying another ROM entirely like FLB just as a test. Once the zip is on the card and the install completes, then the folders are made on the SDCard I believe.
Guest Pully Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Once you have formatted the SDCard copy the firmware zip file to it - then flash to phone using clockwork DO NOT FORMAT SDCARD again.
Guest metal.mickey Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 have you checked the MD5 values match on the downloaded rom. if they dont match then the jj downloaded file is corrupt and youll have to dload again

Thank You once again Qwertz! Glad you got it working :D I'm using FLB and have been for ages (just going through the upgrades as they were released). Unfortunaely FLB has stopped development now for his ROM as SS is meant to pick up where it let off with a new source so it looks like SS is the ROM to aim for if you want to change. CM7 is certainly worth a go, it is silky smooth but still has some issues You can always nandroid and change your ROM, try it out, if you don't like it.... restore B)
Guest Georgechalkida Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Hallo guys. I am facing a serious problem. I updated last night the phone to the rls9. And since then the screen is not responding. No matter how many different types of jellyfish roms i tried the screen is not responding. I also tried the rom mentioned above but yet no luck. The stupidity i did was that i did not backup the original settings and now i cannot restore the phone at all..What should i do?? Any ideas..??

There are loads of threads for it. It seems - that the stock ROM is the only one that really seems to respond properly on phones with certain hardware. CM7 may work too. But be careful with gen versions if your going to try cm7
