Guest Stevieblueyez Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 My son broke his Orange San Francisco a couple of weeks back and his Mum took him to the Orange store to buy a replacement, where they were told "Sorry, it's been discontinued. We don't sell them any more". Initially I thought this was just a load of crap from the guys in the Southampton store wanting him to buy a more expensive handset, and I was even more convinced when I looked on the Orange Website to see that they were still available. However.... what I wasn't expecting to find was that ADVERTISING SPAM weren't selling them any more and a few other sites where I'd bought these for friends from were not selling them any more either (e.g. Argos). I did a quick search on the threads in here and didn't hear anything. Anyone else heard the same?

Tesco Direct have just started selling the Orange San Francisco both in black and white. It selling quite steadily from what I can see. It won't be long before the ZTE Amigo and the ZTE Skate are out though...

Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Hi All, Yes, everywhere I've tried, is either out of stock... or they have put their prices up!! :( Still a good phone for price, but everywhere seems to be £99 now... ;) and not the £79 or £89 it once was.... Even Argos has put their price up now to £99, even though they have not stocked them for months!!! B) Really annoying, as I got one and wanted to get one for dad, but cant at moment.. you watch, Argos will have mass stock of them soon, at the higher rate!!! I wonder if we can back-date our orders :D lol Also, does anyone know what you have to do, or be, to be eligable for discount with Orange?? I know its if ya a previous Orange customer or work for NHS, but what else entitles to discount...? OAP's...? :D Cheeers, Lister

My girlfriend is a secondary school teacher and I got her to buy my SF for me to get the discount.

At the time (I've got an OLED SF, bought in October), the SF was only available for £99 + £10 top-up. Basically, I got 20 quid off, which was fine because I sold my old TouchHD to fonebank for £88 the following week! My girlfriend took one of her local authority pay slips in to show she was a public sector worker and entitled to the discount. Guest worto03 Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 (edited) If you sign up to the tesco direct stock email reminder thing - they will email you when they have new stock in, when I was trying to get one 2 weeks ago I wanted to get it from tesco because I had a load of vouchers to use and they were getting new stock in around every 3 days but selling out quickly each time. Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Hi Maringer + Gibbo501, Just to let you guys know, and thank you so much I managed to pick up an extra Blade for my dad at a price he was happy to pay.... using a wage slip from work, Orange honoured.... So managed to pick up the Blade for a satisifying £74 in Orange yesterday.... gave phone to dad this morning. Not flashed it yet, as not had chance.... but set it up on our home network with a deactivated Orange sim, so he can play and learn.... and then tomorrow comes the suprise with a new rom, and completely different (better) GUI :) he he he Thanks guys though for the handy tip, was well good..... :) one happy dad !!!! :) Cheers, Lister
