Guest Mike Rew Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 (edited) OK, so it's fairly well recognised that some people suffer the reboot issue, due to overheating. Does anyone know WHAT HTC replace when people send back for repair and if that component is available? I'm asking cos I manages to smash my screen last year and I replaced is myself, putting the handset out of warranty. Ergo HTC want to charge £££ to fix it and I want to keep costs down. Any ideas anyone? Surely is MUST be available somewhere but I can't track down the detail..... Cheers Mike Edited March 30, 2011 by Mike Rew
Guest bpivk Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Some people reported a different IMEI number so they probably change the whole motherboard.

Guest apkanthony Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Interesting thanks. I'll take a look into that. i just got my desire repaired. It had the reboot issue. HTC solves the problem by replacing the mainboard. that is why it gets a new IMEI number :D
