Hi all,

First post here, new member.

I've just got hold of an OSF on contract from orange. Using this guide... http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...zte-blade-gen1/ I have managed to install the Modaco Custom Froyo R12 rom http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...online-kitchen/

The rom is working just fine...except for one little thing. The Android Market App has gone walkies and I'm having a hell of a time getting apps onto the device.

Tried:

1. Installing a Market APK found on this website (I had my suspicions it wouldn't work)

2. Attempting to install apps through market.android.com through the device directly

3. Attempting to installs apps through market.android.com via laptop.

In both 2. and 3. my device IS paired to the gmail account and I get the message 'app will be downloaded to your phone shortly' but nada.

Any ideas here? I fitted the rom by booting into clockwork and manually introducing it from the SD card. It is a GEN1 TFT.

Hoping someone can offer a fix for this rom or suggest an alternate rom.

:D

It might sound strange, but maybe activating wifi solves your problem.

With my OSF, this is the problem, with EVERY CM7 nightly/RC.

Thanks for the reply but I've been using wifi to connect this entire time, not 3G.

Any other thoughts? :D

Then I recommend reinstalling the rom, and before doing that, check the MD5!

Ok, done and done. I seem to have taken a back step. I still have no market app and when I access it via the market.android.com site through the device there is no phone associated with the gmail account. Even though I connected to gmail through the device in 3G and it told me the device was associated with the account.

Going to try this now. The checksum was correct last time but naturally I will redownload and check again. Wish me luck :D

No joy, I downloaded a fresh copy of the modaco r12 rom, cleared and reset and introduced it again and no change. I then decided to run with jellyfish and now market is working a treat.

Thanks very much for the help guys. In the mean time if anyone else experiences this issue and discovers where we both went wrong then please let me know and I will revert to the modaco rom.
