Guest Smiff2 Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 (edited) quick question, any compatibility issues with Bluetooth speakers that anyone has found/tried? i'm looking at JBL On Tour XTB <- hard to find now? Creative D100 <- cheap but a bit tacky SuperTooth Disco <- looks good, Amazon bestseller i presume the Blade is A2DP etc. standard so it should work well with any of them?! controls and compat all good? what audio apps do people use? range ok? thanks! oh one more thing, is it remote (ARCP?) compatible i.e. do speakers with controls on them work to control playback on the Blade? presumably this is more an app issue than a hardware issue.. Guest Azurren Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Chances are if it is compatible with any android phone it will work on the blade :D
Guest Smiff2 Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 (edited) picked up a Creative D100 (£35 at PCW UK) problems! on a white phone running SS RLS3, it worked at first but after cranking the volume up, died. cannot get it to reconnect, bluetooth seems to hang on the phone. even restarting the phone doesn't help.. tried the speaker with my phone running JJ9 - works perfectly! my next thought is to upgrade the SS3 phone to SS4b (no wipe). i believe this will remove overclocking and that may be relevant? (although my phone is also overclocked and that's fine..) not sure, any ideas welcome please, this is a present and it's a bit awkward :/ Edited April 7, 2011 by Smiff2
Guest Azurren Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 (edited) A wipe maybe necessary to fix the problem. But if the issue is the SS rom then even if you wiped it wouldn't help. Cyanogen Mod is almost perfect now and has the most reliable bluetooth connection I have used. Maybe worth updating both :D Note that wifi and bluetooth don't work well together on any rom (Hardware design flaw) Edited April 7, 2011 by Azurren
