TV like screen turn off

I have noticed that there's a difference in the way the screen is being turned off in relative to the stock versoin.

in the stock version, one of the coolest things is the way the system turn the screen off, it goes off lke an "old TV", while in the ROM it close normally.

Is it possible to change that behavior?

I disabled the animations and i had to enable "some animations" for it to works.
