Guest iKrautDroid Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 What are the rules/wich values does one use for ext2/3 partitions. I need an ext2 partition thats about 1,5 gigabyte. Whats the correct size? And how can I calculate ext2 partition sixes? Thx in advance
Guest wbaw Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 Why do you want 1.5gb? 0.5gb should be more than enough. it slows the phone down if you have too many apps, you aren't likely to use more than 512mb if you just have apps on sd & leave app data & dalvik-cache on /data It should be the second partition, after the fat partition.

Yeah, but I still would like to know the rules for ext2 partitioning. Does it have to be a multiple of x? Please help

Guest Schwinni Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 No rule. Any number you want. <hair-splitter-mode> That's not quite correct. Say "any number Gparted lets you set" instead. </hair-splitter-mode> :D
