Guest Splux Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 (edited) I have been on the acer website, and download selection for Android 3.0 HoneyComb??? But there is no downloads under the OS tab yet!!!! Will this be possible for ours Liquid?!! And when shall people learn that Honeycomb is for Android TABLETS? --- To post over this: It is a bug in Acer's website, you can chose Honeycomb from every Android-phone there. Probably they'll release an android tablet and they are trying to update their site, but... they're failing. Edited April 2, 2011 by Splux
Guest HustlinDaily Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 I think Splux is right. Acer announced some Honeycomb tablets, my guess is they are doing some testing with the support section of their websites.
Guest fra74 Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 I don,t know what's going on whith Acer but would be great if this is true :D
Guest Splux Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 I don,t know what's going on whith Acer but would be great if this is true :D Just one question, why'd you want an Android-version that just happens to be optimized for tablets?

Guest HustlinDaily Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 Hopefully its a misprint and what it is supposed to say is "2.3 Gingerbread" :D
Guest Splux Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Hopefully its a misprint and what it is supposed to say is "2.3 Gingerbread" :D Sorry to break your dreams, but MIUI and CM7 ports might be the closest to a real 2.3 Android version we'll get for the Liquid A1/S100/E... I don't think Acer will support these phones anymore, they'll probably go on with metal and phones that they'll release later on... B)
Guest Auxx Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 On a bright side our Liquids went all the way from 1.6 upto 2.2. Some other manufacturers did not release updates at all. And these manufacturers did not even try to releae any sources. Maybe we have troblesome sources, but we have them, phones are completely unlocked and dev community is great. I love Acer (:

I love Acer (: Yeah.... there are manufacturers that are better in that sense (Samsung for example, which releases the beta sources much BEFORE they release an official update) but at least acer updated it, others weren't so lucky. And our dev community is one of the best no doubt. They've made amazing achievements considering they work without any support from acer and with barebone sources. Hats off to them.
Guest mmkim Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) I hope that acer is not a misprint. 2.2 froyo is yet to come look & no download.......... liquid should not be come 3.0 :D I just want to say. the end of March already have 2.2 and 3.0 ready out ...... but no download link Edited April 3, 2011 by mmkim
Guest Edward.W Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Liquid Metal should have 2.3, and maybe we can port that to our Liquid
