Yeah my cm7 is eating my battery. I dont even have wifi/3g on or screen on, but its still eating it.

If i play fruit ninja or angry birds like 10 minutes it eats like 20%.

Any tips?

CM7 rc4 and compared to JJ9 and Swedish Spring.

In normal use like 1% in 15min.

i sometimes hv this problem as well

though the CPU usage is low, and the connectivity are off (wifi, mobile data -- off)

the battery still drains very quickly (nearly 1% per mins)

but after i killed some tasks or reboot the phone, the battery stop draining quickly

i don't know which app is causing this

If youve overclocked your phone recommend you set up a powersave profile with setcpu!

Nope i havent overclocked.

But i was sitting on a bus for like 15min and i lost 29% B)

But its funny about cm7 i dont want to go to JJ9, because cm7 gives me better performance on games etc :D

mine is not overclocked either

or try to recalibrate the battery

I imagined CM7 literally eating a battery; sleep deprivation does that to you.

CM7RC4, 2 days 8 hours and 38% battery left.

Yes. It drains battery.

Things that i have noticed on my CM7 RC4. My Twitter app was refreshing every 15 mins, disabled that. Newest Google Maps has high battery usage, to stop this i went into latitude and disabled anything from doing what it likes. Seems to be fine after this.

I done a test when I first put on this rom (RC4) everything Wifi/GPS off, only a tiny bit of 3G but did send and receive about 30 texts and about 5 mins of phone calls 8AM it came off charge at 8PM it was on 96% full battery, took it to the next day and done some more but enabling the wifi for a bit at a time when required and came from work that night with it on 78% battery, so for a day to day phone it's been brilliant after the 3rd day I got board of waiting and starting charging again when I go to bed.

Disable Auto backlite or whatever it is called.

That worked for me.

i'm using nightly 34, and it seems that it drains less than RC4, been using all day, some gaming texting and 2-3 calls as usual, and still is on 80%. When i was using RC4 in the middle of the day it was 15-20%. I'm using the "ondemand" mode, between 122-600 mhz.

Switch to 3G+data on. It will drain battery like no other rom in the same conditions. Don't troll please, it's not productive when we're trying to reach somewhere :D

CM7 is eating my battery too. I installed CM 7.0.2 stable via the nice and easy TPT method on my gen1 OLED Blade three days ago right after the release. Since that time, my Blade won't make 24 hours of very limited usage (no 2G/3G, WLAN, games, internet), 5-10 minutes of calls and a few texts. With Seb's deorangeted R4 ROM (Android 2.1) I only needed to charge my phone every 4th or 5th day. I already tried to rewipe and to recalibrate the battery.

Any tipps from you pros?

Thanks

Pumi

switching hardware ui acceleration off improved my battery life significantly. but might cause lag in games.

It's always eaten mine, for me it's the Wi-Fi that eats it up. Primarily because it never sleeps as intended.

Yo. I use an app called Bladebuddy, you can search that in the market, it's also pinned in the main Blade forum.

+1

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I tried all settings in advanced wifi, none of them seem to work as intended. But when I disable wifi manually, battery life lasts at least 2 days long with light usage.

Try Green Power Battery Saver from the Market. It has options to turn Wi-Fi on and off when the screen turns on and off.

Update: I tested some more, 39 hours is the best I got with a fully loaded battery with power off and on again, pretty much everything disabled and no usage except 3 or 4 calls (not longer than 5 minutes together) and sending/receiving around 10 texts.

When I look at the battery use, all I can see is:

Android System 33%

Dialer 29%

Cell Standby 18%

Display 11%

Phone idle 10%

Still no clue what is draining the battery so fast.
