incoming call ringtone problem

Hi, after trying 2.3, i decided to go back to 2.1 for longer battery life and i noticed that when a call comes in, the phone vibrates first and then starts ringing softly until it reaches maximum volume...that takes around 10-15 seconds. Is it possible to make the phone start ringing immediately when a call comes in instead of having to wait for it to vibrate and then ring?
