NEED URGENT HELP with GT-P1000

Hi, I'm not only new in this site but also new at everything that has to do with technology, not very good at it. I'm 48yrs old so please bear with me a bit. I bought a Galaxy Tab in turkey, but the market, the applications and everything was in Turkish and didn't or couldn't take me to a UK or a US one, so I googled and went to site which explained how to use odin to install a new firmware (I think that's what's called). However, Odin crashed and couldn't finish the process. After doing so my GT only shows a mobile phone and a laptop on the screen (the screen is black). I can't do a hard reset, I can't turn on the tab, it doesn't do anything other than showing the image described.

I desperately need someone to give me a hand and explain to me how to use odin correctly or Heimdall (and what to put on the fields)

That happened to me, the screen is blank black, and has the phone and laptop logo, you can still connected to ODIN and flash the rom again, just try see if that works, it has multiple redundancies and will allow you to often come back from a brick...

easiest way i found was to hop onto xda developers and grab it and instructions from there.

or you could always google it.

It infuriates me when people ask for help, in this case 'URGENT HELP', but never reply to say thank you and/or update on how things went.
