Mah phone is dead!

Only had my phone since December, been through a bunch of ROMs, had a few unique problems, and today, my phone decided it didn't feel like turning on. Could get into Clockwork, flash any ROM I wanted, but no ROM progressed past the splash screen, so I flashed a Stock ROM, nuking clockwork, and phoned Orange for a replacement. After 40 minutes on the phone with a rep who was actually decent and apologized for needing to go through the wizard, arranged to swap my phone tomorrow.

Wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, or if I am as unlucky with the phone as every other aspect of life.

Are you with Orange contract or do they do this anyway as it is exclusive to orange?

I'm on contract with Orange. If it were PAYG the replacement would have to come through a different channel, warranty or something of that sort.

Lovely. Got my replacement Blade via courier yesterday. Just the front part, no battery, no back cover, as expected, but also no metal swingy-clip-thingy to hold the MicroSD Card in place. I wonder what went wrong there? It's not something that is easily removed without damaging it, I think, lots of little fiddly bits to bend and never go back on right. Need to have them send me yet another one.

I thouight I could avoid this by popping in to the Orange store in town and doing an in-store swap. Aparrently they are not allowed to do that after 28 days. Well, isn't that just lovely.
