Guest hudasp Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) When you flashing (after 10% flash process) your phone from GEN1 to GEN2 firmware via this quide, in your dir c:\windows\sysdy is created file named Channel1.nvm. This file contains information about your IMEI. BACKUP this file! Correct channel1.nvm file is file only from correct flash! If you flash from phone with 0 IMEI, channel1 file is corupt file with IMEI 0. Solution, when you brick your phone or you phone with 2GEN firmware has IMEI 0: - download this file (it´s original Terea GEN2 firmware) and patched flasher from this topic - execute .exe file with administrator´s rights - go to c:\windows directory and copy created sysdy dir to Desktop, close flasher - add to sysdy dir and put download_nochecksGen2.exe to the directory - put back modified dir to c:\windows - execute download_nochecksGen2.exe in admin mode - connect phone in FTM mode (hold vol- and on/off button) and start flash process - when is flash in 10% of process (after first phone reboot), put your channel1.nvm file to sysdy directory - if is all OK, flasher finished correct and well without any problems - flash is over (100%) and on phones screen is label FTM - reboot phone and you have stock TeriaSonera firmware - if you want Swedish Spring ROM, Root, install recovery and install Spring ROM This help me, when I had phone brick, please mrradmir to confirm obtaining channel1.nvm file. And sorry for my bad English:) Edited April 4, 2011 by hudasp
Guest hudasp Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Maybe pin this topic. It´s very important informations.
Guest sitic Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Why was the downgrading guide deleted? From there: After further testing and discussion with Kallt_Kaffe, this process is repeatedly removing your IMEI from your phone. There is no way of downgrading from a gen2 upgrade. all instructions on how to do this have been removed from this thread, due to the IMEI issues suffered by testers over the last few days I tought it works if I backup Channel1.nvm and use this guide?
Guest hecatae Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Why was the downgrading guide deleted? From there: I tought it works if I backup Channel1.nvm and use this guide? this guide is for gen1 upgrade to gen2 only, trying to downgrade to gen1 fails repeatedly, in the interest of not ruining phones, the downgrade guide was removed
Guest Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 But this sounds like a possible solution to downgrading and restoring the IMEI number.... providing the channel1.nvm file was retained from the first upgrade... So as I understand it... during the downgrade flash process, once the Flasher has created a channel1.nvm file, you then quickly overwrite it with the original one that was created during the gen1 to gen2 upgrade. The Flasher then uses this for the downgrade instead of the corrupted one that had initially been created. Is this correct?
Guest hudasp Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) No, downgrade doesn´t work now! Edited April 5, 2011 by hudasp
Guest Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 but two people in this thread have reported that your method worked for them.... are you saying that it didn't work for you?
Guest hecatae Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 method works for gen1 to gen2 upgrade but not for gen2 to gen 1 downgrade

Guest dibbles Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 The above worked great for me and thanks for the guide. When I had the wrong IMEI I followed the guide and it has worked a treat.
Guest digibeetle Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 i can confirm this works when your IMEI is FUBAR and showing as 0. Even when you don't have a Channel1.nvm backup :-) THANKS A LOT! use the Channel1.nvm from this post: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...-also-the-imei/ (first post, bottom) and edit it as shown in the post. Use this at the step where you must replace the file at 10%.
Guest przemek_3 Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Can anybody mirror this file from first post ? http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BABHGMDN
Guest xynnide Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 I also want reupload of this file: Solution, when you brick your phone or you phone with 2GEN firmware has IMEI 0: - download this file (it´s original Terea GEN2 firmware) Cheers,
