Are we safe from all bricks mainly flashing?

Someone with no experience ported miui from Samsung vibrant and I wanna can I recover in the worst case scenario

Here's the link http://www.miui-dev.com/forums/showthread....-In-Development

You can always flash v10b with nvflash since nvflash flashes the tegra directly. So in other words i dont think you can even really brick your phone.

Is it worth trying or will it fail because it's gingerbread?

I'd rather not try until the user has some expierience or some reviews surface.

Aside from that, the first try of a port is virtually never useable.

Like above, no i wouldnt try it. I'm 99% sure it won't even boot. Let's someone test it with lots of experience and we'll wait patiently

I'd say even if you flash from recovery there's a risk it might get access to some low level stuff like the baseband which in turn could brick it. I'm not 100 % how this works on O2X, though.

Don't flash until it's confirmed working at least.

I lol'd when he stated in the thread that he is porting from a Samsung device because they both use TouchWiz. The LG does not run TouchWiz.
