Guest achromic Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Hi guys. Got a problem here with my vega, it's stuck in a boot loop and I can't get into recovery anymore to restore my nand backup. It all started when I tried CM7, and forgot (doh!) to do a factory reset, something that is essential (why I forgot I'll never know), now, as stated above, recovery is not accessable. If anyone can help out, I'd be extremly greatful to you :D

Make sure you keep the power button pressed for 8 odd seconds to ensure device is completely off, then do the back button 2 secs, power button 2 secs, let go of power button 2 secs, let go of back button. If it doesn't show in your device manager, try again.

When your in the vega recovery it looks like the screen is off, had to then do a full factory reset using vega tools. Then reinstall the clockworkmd, and then reinstall my backup. Long winded but worked for me.

Guest achromic Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Appologies. Ok, did ask mintvilla described, back button for 2 secs, power for 2 secs, back button release, the screen went black (thought it wasn't going to work), then, did a full restore using softwareImage_v1.09_Vega_Final.exe from myadventvega.co.uk, restarted the vega, and hey presto (with a pinch of dust) it worked. Now, all I have to do is reinstall recovery and, hopefully, restore my last nand backup. Fingers crossed, and many thanks to everyone who helped.
Guest achromic Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Final update message: Everything worked :D I'm back to r8, once again, thanks to everyone who helped/commented/etc...

Search for YAUDIG (manual guide) or AUDI (automated installer)
Guest leosun Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Search for YAUDIG (manual guide) or AUDI (automated installer) THEY both dont work for me...
Guest simonta Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) THEY both dont work for me... Hmm. What OS are you using? If you want, I can connect to your PC remotely and do it for you. I've never failed :D EDIT. You're not confused are you? There are 3 sets of USB drivers a Vega needs: 1. In recovery, the drivers from myadventvega. Used to flash ROMs. 2. In ADB (Settings->Applications->Development-USB Debugging), the drivers from mcr8. Used to install mcr8 and other ADB stuff 3. Without ADB (USB Debugging turned off) and USB Storage turned on, Windows built in drivers for USB drives. Edited June 3, 2011 by simonta

I would appreciate if someone can remotely control my computer to have a look Thanks very much Download the Audi software, it will search and install the drivers for you without you having to search them out yourself. Then all you do is right click on Audi software and select run as admin. connect your usb cable and mains charger, make sure the Vega is switched off, select the rom either the Advent stock rom or the modded stock rom v2, select A create a restore point, B delete previous drivers C install drivers,it will then install the required drivers. then do this sequence press and hold the back buton for 2 second then put press together the power button and back button for 2 seconds release the power button and press the back button for 2 seconds. If you see a green tick on your system try and the green bar appears in Audi it means you're in recovery. close Audi and find the rom you want to install, say the modded stock rom v2 click on it and it willopen and install the rom for you. You need to download whatever rom you want except the modded stock roms and put copy the rom to your sd card. (The Modded stock roms cannot be installed by any other way then via a pc) Unplug the Vega from mains and remove the usb cvable, switch it on, and then go into the menu and select recovery. The Vega will boot into ClockworkMod (recovery) scroll down using the volume keys to factory reset and user date press power button to enter then scroll down and press enter that will clear everything, repeat for wipe data, then scroll down to advanced enter and click on wipe dalvik cache. press the back button to take you back to the previous menu and scroll down to install zip from sd card click the power button then select choose zip from from sd card scroll down to the rom you want to install, scroll down to yes and the rom will install. When it is finished press the back then select reboot system. It should be done.
