Guest gazwsf Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Hi guys, got Megane with bluetooth, I get in and out of car frequently working and need phone to connect/disconnect automatically but it won't. Seems to have to be manually paired each time with discovery only for two minutes which I guess screws up the auto pairing, is this fixable. Stock Orange rom, unlocked on Vodafone. TIA. Gaz :D

Gaz :D Works fine in the car with bluebooth built in (the other half's Citroen) and also with an old Nokia BT headset (my car, naturally). Worked with MoDaCo 2.1 and 2.2 ROMS. No idea if it worked on stock ROM though, that got replaced within an hour of the phones leaving the Orange shop B)

Guest Azurren Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 It shouldn't need to be paired everytime.. I'm just going to blame the stock orange rom B) Only because there is no reason it shouldn't work How long do you wait before giving up and manually pairing? Is you car saved on the "Devices" list in the Bluetooth settings? Is it saved as a trusted device / no passkey required? (Not sure what the exact option is) Hope something here helps :D

Fixed by flashing to S Froyo (SSR2)
Guest Samal Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Stock ROM worked with Mondeo, also Jelly Fish ROM, no problem
Guest gazwsf Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Well went back to the 6300 yesterday to try, works seamlessly with the car, auto connects/disconnects, plays the phone mp3 albums through the car bluetooth stereo, obviously an issue with the SF, I'll have a go at flashing it this weekend and report back for the benefit of future 'searchers', failing which it's ebay and an iphone once I've confirmed a mates works with the car, £20k on a car and the £100 phone won't work :D
Guest Coyote74 Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Blade with JJ9 onboard an it works fine with Alfa Mito Blu&Me. Auto connect, music by usb, contacts, it's all OK. Only sms reading don't works, but i already knew this issue cause only a few devices have this feature.
Guest deepmenace Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 try disabling wifi. there are definite clashes.

Gaz :D Mine works ok with Vodaphone - OSF stock and also now with SS4 (Orange/T mobile). I just jump in the car (or within range - don't have to do anything, it automatically detects the phone - Bluetooth has to be switched on at both ends of course - phone and car but no need for discovery etc once it has been paired)and it automatically connects/disconnects (Ford Audio). Just had to pair it the once and then the SanFran was asked to allow access by Ford Audio and I checked "OK allow all the time"and it has been fine (had troubles with some other roms but stock SanFran worked fine and flb9 and 10 worked fine and now I am on SS r4b and it has worked fine, just used it less than an hour ago to call etc. and it was in my pocket - the phone - not the car!!!.
Guest ezablade Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Does it autopair when you get in the car Yes, it does. Can't remember for sure, but, I think I found the phone with the car and chose to connect every time... or did I dream that?
