Just got my Vega delivered today and trying to install r8 but when i enable the USB debugging and connecting to my win7 x86, all i got is just the usb disk. i have looked around, some ppl have ADB interface in Device manager under USB controllers, but all i have is nothing? any idea plz!

ps. already tried 3 different pc, 2 win7 and 1 winxp, nothing came up from Device manager as ADB interface, basiclly nothing changed in the Device manager when i enable or disable the USB debugging on the Vega, also the Vega i have is 1.10 rom, i tried the 1.09 rom from vega website, still the same.

If you are getting USB disk, then USB debug is not set. If you are setting properly, this suggest a software problem. As you are going to out r8 on, I would suggest flashing the stock ROM from Advent then trying again.

Would be useful if you took a screenshot of device manager, with USB devices expanded before and after you plug in the Vega with debug enabled...

[EDIT] Please also confirm that you have an lady bird looking icon in the notification bar when you turn USB Debugging on.

Hi,

In order for me to get this "to appear" in Device Manager, I installed Android SDK and Java JDK on WinXP box.

May have been overkill but worked all the same.
