Comet stores stocking in the 6th

I have no idea what versions and stock level, so assume the have one and u need to battle to get it

Luckily for me I was actually heading there tomorrow anyway, and if they've not got any, I'll nip to Oldham on my way back :D

I had a glance at the Comet website just now to see if you can reserve a Transfromer for collection (you cant) and the stand alone tablet is now showing as available for next day delivery but the tablet and keyboard bundle is discontinued.

I'm assuming they really mean out of stock as that's what the Lassiter site shows, but still a tad odd.

I just gave the Coventry Alvis store (that's listed on the website as having stock) a phone call and they say thay haven't had any in and don't know when they will, so I think it's worth giving a store a ring before you set off.

You can find the individual store numbers by searching for Comet here http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php and avoid having to go through the central switchboard.

Someone on another forum I know spoke to their local Comet who said they had 4 in stock but only the version without the keyboard. It looks like the version including the keyboard will be out on the 18th.

After trying the Solihull store and finding they hadn't even heard of the device I called up and ordered one for delivery. Looks like that post was so much BS. As posted earlier they said that the keyboard is not available until later in the month (also only the 16GB version is available). Nonetheless I ordered over the phone and I picked it up from the post office this morning. Seems good so far and I haven't seen any of the instability reported on the Xoom (other that taking a couple of attempts to get the rear camera working). The external card reader is working too despite reports that Honeycomb doesn't support it yet.
