Guest ThrashMan Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) I moved to the Blade from Windows Mobile. It was a common addon for a ROM to auto install apps from a predefined folder. As we can backup the apps we have installed from the Market does anyone fancy writing an app that auto installs all apks from a predefined folder on the SC card? This would make life a little less painful when switching from one ROM to another. An additional function could be to backup all app configs so that they can be selectively applied? I don't know how much of the above can be easily done with Titanium Backup etc? But the idea is to let the OS install the apps rather than having them written back to where they were installed. Titanium Backup, Market, AppBrain. All 3 of them do that in one way or another. And please forget windows, there is no difference between restoring an app with Titanium and installing it manually. And you get to keep your settings as well. Edited April 5, 2011 by Superfuzz
Guest targetbsp Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 In case you're not aware, you want to be using titaniums batch backup and restore (from the menu key) as opposed to the backup and restore button on its front page. Counter-intuitive I know....

Counter-intuitive I know.... QtADB is pretty good. (The SMS part of it is not very good but other than that its a good app) Titanium Backup causes more problems than it solves for me. (and the standard google app sync)
