San Francisco / Blade as a USB modem?

I have searched the forums for my answer but I can only find information on using my phone as a wireless hotspot.

I would like to use my phone as a modem for a PC with no WIFI, hence plugging it in to a USB port.

I am thinking this is probably an easy thing to do, but after looking around I cannot see how to do it.

I have a routed and flasshed Orange San Francisco running 2.1. I will probably upgrade to 2.3 soon, so if that would help I can do that sooner than planned.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated :D

AFAIK you won't find it in Android 2.1 though, so yes upgrade to a new ROM :D

I use it using FLB-Froyo G2 version r11b ROM and it works a treat.

Hi,

To turn on tethering in Android 2.3 go to settings - wireless & networks - portable hotspot - portable wifi hotspot - check box.
