Guest curl66 Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010807 it works! setting the buffer to 2048 reduces load time of angrybirds to half than before for me
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 This was linked about two days ago in the ROMS AND ROM Customization thread :D Though I suppose it doesn't hurt "publicizing" it a bit more. It is a very good MOD B)
Guest ZEbbEDY Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 I downloaded the app for this and run it rooted and close and reopen the app and it says 2048 but if i restart the phone and check the app it says 128 again, do you need to run the app every time!? Guess i should just try it the manual way :D
Guest Michealtbh Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 You need to flash the zip in recovery or it will always revert on reboot
Guest hugobosslives Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 You need to flash the zip in recovery or it will always revert on reboot +1
Guest Wolves4Ever Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Just installed SDCardSpeedFix2048KB.zip via Clockwork.. But after reboot it's reverted back to 128... :D
Guest Mike_P Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Just installed SDCardSpeedFix2048KB.zip via Clockwork.. But after reboot it's reverted back to 128... B) To quote the great Alan Partridge "Unbelievable". :D
Guest sambartle Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 If you read the thread on XDA it does say for some ROMs its hardcoded in the init and you wont be able to change it (although I cant see why).. Im guessing thats the problem.. perhaps the init scripts run before the hardcoded values. There must be an app that will run a script on demand you could just setup a shortcut too...
Guest horqai Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 There must be an app that will run a script on demand you could just setup a shortcut too... this should be one of these apps - but I haven't tested it yet: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.v...ek.sdspeedboost

Guest Gibbo501 Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 The app works a treat, I can't believe how much faster things are!
Guest Wolves4Ever Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 this should be one of these apps - but I haven't tested it yet: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.v...ek.sdspeedboost Yep, that worked. Settings retained after a reboot too.. Already stuff seems quicker to load
