Guest Bachkippe Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Hi, yesterday I got a new Pulse because my old one had a broken usb-port. So I updated to 2.1 and flashed CM Plus. I had the 'reboot when installing apps' bug. After not succeeding fixing that, I flashed basic CM6.1. And from that moment the phone reboots randomly. Sometimes it gets to the homescreen. Sometimes I even can use it for a few minutes. But morst of the time it rebots before fully booting. Even when I tried to boot after december or 2.1 update it kept rebooting. It sometimes reboots in Recovery and Fastboot. This is what I tried so far: back to 1.5 -> december update -> 2.1 -> basic C.6.1 Any suggestions?
Guest Bachkippe Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 after I gave the pulse a 10 minute break I was able to boot and install an apk. Then I noticed that i dont have any Google apps and tried to get the apk over USB. As soon as I enable USB the Pulse rebooted :D

I set max frequency to 614MHz and 691MHz while charging. Now it seem stable.
Guest Casterina Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 I had the same problem, Antonio the creator CyanogenPlus said download the gapps from a different Custom ROM maybe twrock or someone :D It'll work, it worked for me.
Guest Bachkippe Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Thanks for the advide! With set Cpu to <600 its stable. But if I reflash the rom I dont have market and there's no phone setup at first start. I did full wipe. What do I do wrong?
Guest Casterina Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 What are you trying to achieve? if it's the application bug, then download gapps from a different custom ROM.. it doesnt matter which one. Considering you done a full wipe, i presume you have too start the phone from setup etc. Download the gapps to your phone and then reboot your phone into recovery mode, flash zip from sdcard.. after you've done that reboot your phone.. and follow the setup after you done that download a random app from the market to see if it works or not

But if I reflash the rom I dont have market and there's no phone setup at first start. I did full wipe. What do I do wrong? My best guess? 1. You have to flash some form of Google apps (gapps.zip) before you will have any Google apps. Did you do this? -or- 2. You have flashed the newest 2.1 updata instead of the older UK 2.1 updata from back in 2010 as your 2.1 update. So your /system partition is not large enough to hold the gapps from Antonio's or my rom. But that is just a guess, and I have been wrong before. (But if I am right, then that means you didn't read the instructions carefully. You have to read the instructions.) :D

It always happens when I dont underclock the CPU. It doesnt boot properly anymore if it happened once. I have to remove the battery and wait for 10 mins or put the phone in the fridge. Is it a hardware issue?
