Hanging after Daemon Started

I bought a new Vega this week and would like to carry out the update as described on this forum. I downloaded the package and expanded it into a folder on a PC running Windows XP. I followed the instructions. A command window is opened and the last line of text says *the damon has started successfully* and then nothing else happens.

I have now tried this on 2 x win XP, a Win 7 (same problem) and Linux (never gets past "waiting for device").

I have searched the forum before I posted this, but can find no references to it. Can anyone help please?

I too had this problem but now is fixed. What does your device come up as Device Manager? It must show up as an Android phone in order for the above to do anything.

Windows installs a "mass storage device", "composite storage device", etc., which is not what I want. I know I need to install the Android USB driver that is part of the package, but I never get to the stage where I can cancel the automatic Windows driver installation. I have tried right clicking on the Android USB inf driver an selecting install, but it doesn't. I have tried this on 2 Win XP systems. I have also tried on a Linux Mint system again> I get similar messages, except that I get an additional one, chmod: changing permissions of './adb-Linux': Operation not permitted.

Many thanks. I still had problems, but eventually suceeded in getting everything to work. I asked Windows XP to update the Harmony driver and selected the inf file supplied as the update, and it worked on the second PC I tried. The first XP PC kept saying that the Device Driver failed to start.
