Can I use voice dialling on my SF?

Hi I have a SF which I've only unlocked to O2, no routing yet.

Is there an app I can use for voice dialling so I can press my headset and get my SF to call the person whose name I speak?

I hope someone can help.

I, also, am interested in this question, but my flavour of it is whether you can voice dial when you have no data connection (Google voice needs the network)?

You can voice dial without data connection.. like if you wanna phone somebody.. just say there name and it should appear. Yes. google voice requires a network :)

I never knew that . . and still don't understand!! say their name into what app? just their name or "call 'name'". If I speak a name into my phone or my dialler . . . . nothing??

I haven't played with it yet, but I think you need the google voice app running then you can speak to your phone.

I think this will force me to go the rom route and use the embedded google voice. Seems mad that my old nokia did this without any probs.

Anyone know if gv can be activated by pressing the bluetooth device button as it does with my nokia phone?

Yes, but the Google voice app requires the network - the app may be embedded, but the server is not! This is not a ROM issue AFAIK.

I have voice dialling on my OSF, I use the phone on 2g exclusively (work phone) and have no problems. Have a look in your apps for Voice dialer it's on mine (mind you I upgraded to CM7), I use it along with my BlueAnt Q2 bluetooth earpiece and it works a treat.
