HELP!....My san fran won't make/receive calls/SMS or go online

Wondering if anyone could help me as having major difficulty solving this one. Bought a san fran about a month ago, went thru the process of unlocking, rooting and installing jellysish RL9 on it, all with no probs and have for about a month been using it no problems, with a giff gaff SIM, however about 5 days ago, it all of a sudden stopped letting me make calls. When I try to call it just comes up call ended. When i try to text it says message failed and even the internet does not work, just saying couldn'y find page/page unavailable. When people were calling me it was sending them straight to voicemail, even tho on screen showed as having full service and on.

It is not the fact of running out of credit as the numbers I was trying were also on giffgaff and so therefore they are free. Just to double check however I put my o2 SIM in to see if it could make a difference but it is exactly the same. I also tried the giffgaff sim in another old LG phone i have and it worked fine straight away no probs, missed calls and texts suddenly all came thru for past few days.

I have scowered the settings and can't understand what could have happened. I have now even recovered the phone using the software installed in setup back to the original orange software, thinking that would solve it. But it is exactly the same. Once running the restored orange software I went into the menu to try factory reset, but it didn't like it as during the new setup the screen flickers and say phone number can't be found or similar. So i just recovered it again to the version i had backed up to get me out of that.

I just want to be able to get back to where my phone was....able to make / receive calls & texts.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Should I just try and reflash the phone with original orange software downloaded from here.....?! not sure where to go.

muchos gracias! :)

Where did you buy the phone?

It sounds a little bit like it may have been blocked, usually this happens if its been reportred stolen.. Did you buy it off ebay?

If not then it may be worth giving GiffGaff support a call to check if it is blocked..

There might be other options, like talking to your provider, but there is this...

I have not used them.

I've reported it to ebay, so they will investigate and hopefully get me my money back, these people are disgusting who do that and I guess i'm too naive. 1 case closed.

Warning to other potential san fran buyer, be careful who u buy from!

Glad that it worked for you and with that report it validates your problem. Either way with eBay's support you will get your money back.
