Guest Big Dev Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 Hello all, Recently got the vega and updated to pauls latest rom, loving the device and the rom. I am however having problems with flash. I currently have flash 10.2 from the market installed and glitchy lines appearing across the screen during playback on sites such as iplayer. I think i understand that the vega needs an optimized version of flash, however i am not sure which one i need. there are 4 listed in this topic under the GLES Optimized Flash for Advent Vega section on this page - http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...guides-how-tos/ . I would really appreciate it if somebody could give me advice on which one i need and how to install it. All help will be greatly appreciated.

I am using Adobe Flash Player 10.1.120.1 which is item 3 in that section. I too found Flash 10.2 to be giving me poor picture quality but going back to 10.1 fixed this although I am still having an issue where browsers seem to lose Flash after a reboot of the Vega which is rather irritating but it probably won't happen to you. :)

This does indeed solve the problems mentioned, however i now have issues with this version of flash player! The sound ends up way out of sync if i pause or timeshift a video, and 4od does not work at all, causing a forced closure. Guess i will have to choose which is the lesser of two evils!

I have flash 10.2 and the lines are more prominent when the quality of the flash video is lower. Example, on the iplayer app it's dreadful but if I go to the iplayer website it's not bad at all.

Sorry could you explain that a bit more? I'm also having issues of audio being out of sync with video on 10.1 and bad video quality on 10.2. What's the best solution? Thanks

Thanks Carl someone else also suggested removing the mouse cursor fix but even after removing the com.nvidia.graphics file in /system/framework it still went wrong after a reboot :)

Guest carl rose Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Yes please explain that a bit more, im also having this problem with the 10.2 flash player and don't know what to do to solve it! There is no solution for the audio out of sync in any version of flash. Its there on every single one. The flash not loading I fixed by reflashing the 1.09 and not installing the cursor fix. Since I done that a while back the problem did not reappear
Guest zennit Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Does anyone know how to fix the flash problems after cursor fix without re flashing, or is there a quick way to flash and get back to having all your apps/desktop/theme setup? cheers
