Guest J_____C Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Hi there I have a problem with my phone (the memory card issue where it says it has been removed/preparing at random intervals for no reason) and therefore am wanting to return to stock ROM to return the phone. Have downloaded the files from http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...-2011-oled-tft/ and have md5 checked them. However, when I restart the phone it starts to work but then errors "Update from T-Flash card load/mmc1/image/appsboot.mbn 100% load/mmc/image/boot.img 97% error I can pull the battery and the phone hasnt been bricked but I need to get this sorted so I can return. Any help would be very much appreciated. For info, I have a SF bought in November I think...it is defo an OLED.
Guest Swimmerboy Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Hmmm... Does this happen every time (and if so, does it happen at the same %)? Have you tried formatting the card and putting the files back onto it?
Guest jeddy1 Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 maybe u should downoad again the files if it didnt work with first time
Guest J_____C Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Hmmm... Does this happen every time (and if so, does it happen at the same %)? YES Have you tried formatting the card and putting the files back onto it? NOT YET
Guest Swimmerboy Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 I'd probably start by formatting the card - if it's a faulty or corrupted card this might also explain the wierd unmounting issue you were having?
Guest J_____C Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 I'd probably start by formatting the card - if it's a faulty or corrupted card this might also explain the wierd unmounting issue you were having? Tried this.........no joy. The unmounting issue has happened with more than one card. Have also seen a few others with the same issue. Also, have now tried downloading the files again...no joy. Am going to try an older stock ROM now but any ideas would be good.
Guest sambartle Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Have you tried other SD Cards? And running with a stock ROM for a while with no apps? Almost all cases of that problem ive seen across several different android phones have been eoither dodgy cards, or software issues.. would be a shame to lose an OLED screen if thats the case.

Have tried one other card and it was doing the same thing. Cant get Stock ROM on unfortunately.

Guest J_____C Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Presume you've not upgraded it to Gen2? Tbh, havent changed the ROM at all since I originally did it. Not particularly brilliant at these things and was perfectly happy with how it performed so didnt see the point...what is Gen2?
Guest Swimmerboy Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Tbh, havent changed the ROM at all since I originally did it. Not particularly brilliant at these things and was perfectly happy with how it performed so didnt see the point...what is Gen2? Newer (swedish) devices are coming out with upgraded firmware that (supposedly) improves 3G upload speeds, improves signal strength, and adds an extra frequency that's only really used by USA. It's possible to upgrade older devices to this but it stops you flashing Gen1 ROMs. If you've tried downloading it afresh, copied it to more than one SD card, and the MD5 sums check-out then I'm a little stumped. If it's getting to the same percentage each time the only things I can think of that would be causing it are:Can't read from boot.img file (card or file corrupted)Can't flash the image from boot.img into the boot partition (Boot partition corrupted or has been re-sized so you're trying to push more data than it's got space for) Doubt it's a dodgy boot partition (but I guess it's possible?) don't know what else to suggest I'm afraid...
Guest hecatae Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 (edited) orange stock roms with recovery located here: http://ftpb.free.fr/roms/zte/blade/ if they dont have recovery, the zip is helpfully titled no recovery, and these stock roms with recovery will remove clockwork or ra recovery Edited April 12, 2011 by hecatae
