Hi

I bought my Blade only two weeks ago.

My phone is a GEN 1 model with the B10 variation and can not do the power on and volume up trick. I was able to get clockwork mod installed on it and install the swedish spring RLS4 Rom. I loaded on the whole stable of programs including universal androot, root explorer, rom manager, astro filer, Dark Tremors A2SD ect... When all the programs I wanted to use were installed on my Blade, I used Rom Manager to antomatically update my Clockwork mod program to the latest version.

I used the Rom Manager to do a Backup. The screen went blank and then the green android came on.... and never left. The phone entered a boot loop - I assume. I left the phone in that state for an hour before pulling the battery and trying to manually access the recovery.

1. I can not access recovery mode manually with a battery pull and replace, then turn on with vol-, as my Blade hangs at the green android and will not progress to this point. I have tried many times.

2. Battery pull and replace, then turn on with volume+ does not work so I could not install the drivers for Fastboot. I believe because of the B10 Rom.

I have read all the old posts I could find relating to Bricking and could find nothing to help me...

Any thoughts or suggestions are very appreciated and welcome.

Thanks in advance

rom manager probably didn't install the clockwork properly.

I think the TPT method works for these phones doesn't it? You could try installing one of the ROMs with this method and see if that helps?

Try to press "Volume +" and "Menu" Key simultaneous -- then press the Power Key. This works for some phones...

I have tried this both before and after this problem arose. My phone had the B10 variation original Rom that will not boot using this Volume + and Menu Key method.

The TPT method relies on this method for the TPT installation... so at this point, I am still in a rough spot.

One new update though which gives me a small hope...

After 5 hours on the green android screen, the phone went a little further to the written word android, which in the Swedish Spring Rom is after the initial booting. It has been in this stage for two hours already, but I will leave it until morning and see if it completes up to the main screen. If it does not make the next step I will try again to get to the recovery manager. I can not hold the Volume - button for 5 hours..., but maybe I can wedge the phone so the volume - button is being pressed...

Either way thanks for your suggestions :) and we will see where the next 12 hours take us on this journey :) :)

Maybe try reinstalling the clockwork through fastboot, not a specialist tho, would that be even possible in your situation?

Number five is alive! .... I believe the movie was short circuit, but it was a while ago!

Jokes aside I have had success.

I very much appreciate everyone's help. A warm thank you to everyone that took the time to respond to my request for help.

Nexstar, you da man! :) :),

I want to say Thankyou!!! Your advice about having no battery in the phone did it. I honestly do not remember reading anywhere about needing to take the battery out, and I do not know why it worked??, but I am very happy because it did work. Do you remember where you picked up that tidbit of information?
