Guest DannyDanny Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Sorry for the most annoying question that gets repeated every day. I tried to do this by reading many posts but it just confused me more :) I have installed the lastest clockwork into my blade (3.0.2.4) and I have done a nandroid backup to save my current custom Froyo. I bought my blade from Ebay so the custom froyo rom was pre-installed. So re-installing a new rom is really confusing for me. I pasted the CM7 RC4 rom.zip + google apps.zip into my SD card. I heard from some other post that I should be able to install roms by selecting the rom file from the SD card using clockwork. Am I correct? StevenHarperUK posts were really great, but it wasnt written in my Language :)

Now simply scroll to "Install Zip from SDCard" and then choose "choose zip from SDCard" before selecting the Rom. Once this is installed, install the gapps zip in the same way. Simples!
Guest Swimmerboy Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 I pasted the CM7 RC4 rom.zip + google apps.zip into my SD card. P.S. The RC4 Rom isn't the latest - I'd go for the 'Stable' version instead.
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 thank you sooo much! Thank you for a quick reply too! Is CyanogenMod 7 for ZTE Blade :: V7.0.0 the latest? I am downloading it now. Do I need to uninstall the current rom or partition anything? Maybe for A2SD??
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Flashed it from Swimmerboy advice. I am looking at the cyanogenmod7 screen with spinning arrow for about 10 minutes... Is this meant to take this long?
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 First boot of a new ROM can take a while. Btuthe way, you are supposed to do a "wipe data/factory reset in clockwork recovery before installing the ROM zip file. Just boot into recovery again, do wipe data/factory reset. Now install the ROM zip again. I don't think you even need to flash the Google apps zip anymore,I always wipe and when I select market for the first time the Google app installer appears.
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 pulled out the battery and repeating what you just told me to do. I wiped data/factory and cache partition. Lets see if it will take 20mins again.
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 got it! thank you guys! I will have good fun wit this! It feels little lackier than my previous rom but Ill find out more thank you
