Guest Swimmerboy Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Yes: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...ol-alpha3-gen1/ Wow, Sorry, I didn't know about this method - my mistake!
Guest womble_sanfran Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) Wow, Sorry, I didn't know about this method - my mistake! Its actually a really slick process, it does a nandroid backup, then it changes the partition size information in the backup before doing a TPT install of the tweaked backup. It even intelligently determines the optimal sizes for your partitions based on your current rom size. When I did it I didn’t lose any data, texts, angry birds progress or anything! All credit to wbaw for making it such a slick process. Edited April 14, 2011 by womble_sanfran

Guest kerryokeefe Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Hi Guys and Gals Have read that guide and being totally technically inept still dont understand the process I am undertaking. It clearly is very easy but a few questions (I have JJ9 on my blade). Install clockworkmod 3. I have clockwork 2.5.8.0 ish. Do i need the 3. one? Copy the blade backup .zip to your sdcard - where does this come from? You will need at least 500mb free space on your sdcard & plenty of charge in your battery. Turn off your phone & leave it for 30 seconds. Turn it on with vol - held to go into clockwork. Flash zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> blade_backup.zip --- How? If I can get started I feel I can do the rest, but unclear as to how to start and what to download Wait for the backup to complete, it will take a few minutes. Reboot. Look in the /image directory of your sdcard, if everything went ok, then it should have a file named '00-PART-XX-XXX-XXX' the Xs are the partition sizes. If you dont see that file, there may be a different one describing an error. Turn off your phone & leave it for 30 seconds. Turn it on with vol+ & menu held to flash the new partition sizes.

I used 3.0.0.5, but i think it is recommend to use the tested version (the link is inside the TUT). Copy the blade backup .zip to your sdcard - where does this come from? The link is inside the TUT. There are 3 options to partition. One without cache partition, One with cache partition, and one to restore stock. If you follow the TUT you are in clockwork yet. If I can get started I feel I can do the rest, but unclear as to how to start and what to download Wait for the backup to complete, it will take a few minutes. Reboot. Worked really well for me, but follow the guide! I did not a did not understand why it is not working :-P Edited April 14, 2011 by wishmasterf
