Im moving from the blade to another android.

Which one is best?

HTC Wildfire

LG Optimus One

Samsung i5500 Europa

Samsung Galaxy Mini

Any other suggestions (£180 max)

Any of those will be a downgrade imo, side-grade at best

To be honest dont care if its downgrading just want a phone that wont wont brake every time i get one (had 10 replacements!!)

I used to have a Wildfire, girlfriend has it now. Build quality is excellent and the camera is pretty good (5mp with flash). A lot of people like HTC Sense but personally I found it ugly. Screen resolution is crap and its pretty slow unless overclocked

Well I have to say the blade isn't the pinnacle of quality, I remember having the problem with the power button, I had to press really really hard to turn it on, but that fixed itself somehow and now I have that blue screen flicker on the upper third of the screen when the phone is cold, I hope that fixes itself too, but what's next I wonder and I have been treating mine with utmost care. Remember that the Blade is less than a year old, so we are kind of pioneers in determining its long term quality.

But 10 times.. there must be some weird karma following you man.

I'm looking at an SE X10 (2nd hand from eBay), what's peoples thoughts on that? Faster processor, bigger screen make it sound like an upgrade but I'm on the fence myself.

Its a good device if you are prepared to unlock, root and flash

Otherwise its a no-go :)

My friend got the wildfire with 2.2 and hates it because of the spec and the fact that its locked down.

I had even told him to get a blade way before.

And now he wants a blade :P

I suppose people are fooled by the fact that a product that is more expensive and by a big name is always better.

Which is often true, but, there are gems, like the blade :rolleyes:

Cant believe no one has mentioned the HD2. you can get them for around 180 on ebay or maybe cheaper if your lucky. Freaking awesome phone too with its 4.3 inch screen, unbelievable amount of roms, dualbooting with WP7 and ofcourse the 1GHZ snapdragon.

HD2 kills all of the phones that has been previously mentioned and will be supported in the future with more roms and windows phone builds (mango!)

Definitely go for the HD2 mate
