Guest JayGB1982 Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 I could do with a little help, I flashed / converted to GEN2 yesterday but now cannot access clockwork. I understand this is due to clockwork not being supported by GEN2 CM7 I was recommended to install sebs Recovery Manager but this just force closes on me. I'm quite concerned at not having a working recovery option. Any idea's how I can re-gain access to a recovery mode and re-gain the ability to flash? Thanks in advance

Guest css771 Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 How do i do this? If you want to do this on the phone, download this first, put it on your sdcard, then on your phone open up a terminal and type: su reboot bootloader Then connect the phone to your computer and type fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-blade-g2.img

Ok if you don't have even fastboot, Rename the recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-blade-g2.img to just recovery.img and place it at the root of your sdcard. Then, Download a terminal app such as this on to your phone. Open the app and type: su flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
Guest dibbles Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 If Jay has the Android SDK installed the ADB is now stored within the platform-tools folder. However the fastboot.exe still remains in the tool folder. Can you not just copy over the fastboot.exe to the platform-tools folder where ADB now is for it to work..?

Guest skull_fcuk Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 I've followed the steps detailed here, using the phones terminal emulator, and i'm still stuck at the Android. Is there anything else i can try>?
Guest dadashi Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 I've followed the steps detailed here, using the phones terminal emulator, and i'm still stuck at the Android. Is there anything else i can try>? I used the method written above with the terminal and it works just fine.... Make sure you've written correctly, eg. recovery.img instead of recovery.image, I made that mistake first...
Guest skull_fcuk Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 What should the terminal say once you've successfully flashed? EDIT: Nevermind! I was making the mistake of missing the space after recovery, and before the first / ie, i was typing flash_image recovery/sdcard, when i should have been typing 'flash_image recovery /sdcard' What a nugget :) Much relief indeed. Thanks again guys. Forum saves Phone, once again!
Guest ukmobileman Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Yep thanks guys it restored my blade to being clockworkable agian!
