Dialer options with Swedish Spring RSL4 ??

ok just a quickie i installed SS RLS4 everything is lovely and works really nicely

the dialer was the only downside i prefer the contacts version with

phone

call log

contacts

favorites

groups

i installed AOSP zip and brill its taken the crappy dialer off but im missing GROUPS i like GROUPS :)

is there a zip available to cure my problem ??

or tell me what option its called to search for ?? eg AOSP contacts has 4 tab options etc

When I got into Android, one of the biggest disappointments was that I saw no easy access to "groups" in contacts. My Google contacts list has people divided into categories like Work, Friends, etc; but the stock Android dialer/contacts has no easy way to filter the list by groups. I've had cheap basic phones that filtered groups easily!

Is there a dialer/contacts app that does group contact filtering?

but for some reason the call icon wouldn't give me an option to use contacts, so i tried the zip file for AOSP contacts but as said its missing groups

if you need the groups and dont mind that install swedish spring RSL4, i just couldnt get used to not pressing the call icon instead of contacts

onwards i'll live :)

I prefer the ZTE smart dialer and the contact groups too.

One of the prime reasons I removed CM7 and went back to SS4b.

Even I am eager to know how we can add contact groups on various roms, and moreso whether it is possible to put the zte smart dialer and contact groups on CM7 as default?

I tried to push and install the smart dialer .apk with adb on /system/apps/ on CM7 and remove the original dialer but I guess it doesn't work that way :)

Waiting for some inputs by the folks in the know.

yes mate ive got contacts but originally i had the dialer and contacts with groups

but normally when i use the rom 1st time eg click call icon it give you the option to use dialer or contacts as main option

i didnt get that option so tried installing AOSP contacts it then took over call option excellent, but no groups

hey i can live with it the rom is excellent just thought id ask the massives if any easy cure :)
