Guest TigerDigi Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 forget the Gen problem. obviously u r using a Gen 1 device. the most potential matter should be your clockwork recovery version. upgrade to 3.x and try again.
Guest hugobosslives Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 indeed. if you had jj working you must be gen1. so dont worry bout gen2 stuff yet. as above, first thing to check is clockwork version. cm7 wont install on the older v2 clockworks. check the md5 sum to make sure it's the right file and not corrupt. check your system partition is big enough. alot of people use the jj mod which shrinks it and so some some roms do not fit on.

I've just recently (successfully) done the same thing, flashing from JJ to CM7. Have you made sure to wipe and factory reset in clockwork recovery?

Have you made sure to wipe and factory reset in clockwork recovery? How did you find the move? Was it an improvement? My wife has been running JJ (6/7?) for a few months, and although it has been fairly stable, if CM7 is an improvement and just as stable I'll consider upgrading her phone.
