Guest DannyDanny Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 (edited) I am running CM7 stable. I found this very strange that after deleting an app, (Or sending apps to SD card) the used internal memory does not regain its space. It gets used after installing an application, but the memory does not increase after deleting or tranfering apps. I am looking at this from settings - manage applications, which shows the internal storage. Is there a way that I can check this? I am running out of space but deleting does not help. Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Are your apps on the SD in the first place? You can force them to the SD with CM7/

How do I do that? and is there a way I can access my internal memory and check whats taking up all the usage? (undeleted apps maybe?) I was running a different rom, but I nandroid backup the rom and from clockwork I deleted cache and data and flashed CM7 Would this still remain apps from the previous Rom? Or they all get deleted?

Do a full wipe in recovery and manually format the data system partitions by going into Mounts and Storage in Recovery. I find it best to always do full wipes when changing ROM's.

Guest jamidodger1 Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Use MyBackup Root And Back Everything Up Then Yes It'll wipe to the beginning..
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 (edited) Will do the full wipe now. Any particular actions I need to do? or there is a simple wipe everything button in clockwork? Any need to partition my SD card? I want to reset my SD card as well anyway As I have already saved my nandroid backup files in my computer Edited April 16, 2011 by DannyDanny
