[UNCONFIRMED RUMOR] Gingerbread for Rogers Liquid E coming in 4-6 weeks?

I was talking to a rep at Rogers yesterday, and he says that Gingerbread will likely be the last update that the Liquid E gets. He says its 4-6 weeks away in North America.

yes, GB is much faster than froyo.

And hey, thats would be great if this were true :)

If acer do this, we will get 35 kernel like in metal leak one.

Been using Gingerbread for a few weeks now on our liquid (MIUI).. Works SMOOTHE, altough I do agree that the ram runs out sometimes and causes apps to get killed randomly. But i also think that it might be a fixable issue.

i think it is gingerbread own problem.some app at froyo wont be kill even if ram run out.but at gingerbread.it dead……

Unless you are with Rogers do not download the file when it comes out (even if you are with Fido)

Rogers has a SIM Lock on it and it will make your useless, brick , wortheless .

If you have an A1 do not even think of useing Rogers files, Rogers never had the A1.

Wait for another version to come out.

It isn't here yet.

Optimistic so that when it comes out, somebody with Rogers will flash it and provide a desimlocked version (like alan090 did for Froyo).

It's looking like Rogers and Fido might get an android update anyway (based on http://ptcrb.com/ctiastaff/complete/view_c...?modelid=17149), but it doesn't look like gingerbread.

The build number leads me to believe Froyo. Hopefully I am wrong.

doh, looks like the A1/E are stuck at froyo as far as official releases go. Liquid MT has official gingerbread in the works (from leaked ROM), and Iconia should come out with GB. Hopefully someone can get a GB port working for us.
