Guest jamidodger1 Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 You've formatted recovery as well?
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 You've formatted recovery as well? I think so. I formatted every menu
Guest hugobosslives Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 yer it obviously won't boot normally if you have formatted (i.e. wiped) the system data just install the cm7 rom and then it will be fine..... NB: incase i've missunderstood and you mean you have also lost clockwork? reflash clockwork (fastboot) and then install the cm7 rom...
Guest jamidodger1 Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 What GEN are you on? *IMPORTANT* Before Flashing Anything!
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 I lost clockwork. It wont boot to clockwork. I am on Gen1 Blade
Guest jamidodger1 Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 That's Good (y) reinstall clockwork from holding the other volume key (not recovery - clockwork one) and then flash via Fastboot on pc.
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 just reflash clockwork then How do you do that?? Reflash clockwork how? I cant boot
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 That's Good (y) reinstall clockwork from holding the other volume key (not recovery - clockwork one) and then flash via Fastboot on pc. Im sorry I was panicking. I got my phone already with custom rom so havent installed it before. I guess I need to learn now. So I can install clockwork from now?

Guest hugobosslives Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 yer if you can't boot you can still install stuff (like clockwork and roms) in other ways. its how more expeirenced android users do everything. use fastboot to flash clockwork again and then flash a rom in the usual way

Guest jamidodger1 Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 If you need anymore help you know where we all are :)
Guest hugobosslives Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 (edited) yer you don't need all the drivers (just the fasboot one. just do it on a simple cmd fastboot) it's actually really easy: turn it on with volume + till it stays on the green android. plug it in via usb open a command prompt (on windows: start > run > type: "cmd") put the fastboot files and the new clockwork image in a file on the root of your hard disk (eg called android) type "cd \" and press return type "c:" and press return type "cd Android" and press return type "fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery-clockwork-3.0.1.4-blade.img" and press return (the bit in bold is the name of your recovery file) type "fastboot-windows reboot" and press return i would upload the driver but it won't let me as it is 6mb. so if you want it i'll email it if your desperate. NB: all above is for windows Edited April 16, 2011 by hugobosslives
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 I am sorry for a pain But this is really confusing I connected my Blade with my computer via usb and somehow it automatically updated the fastboot driver for me. As the guide said I also did a manual driver update with (unspecified) blade but it says driver is up and new. From now. ------ The only tool you need is a md5sum checker. MD5sum is a way of checking that the file you have downloaded has not been corrupted in any way, when you run the MD5sum command against a files the response is the files "fingerprint", if this differs from the expected MD5, then you need to re-download the file Windows Get your md5sum utility from: http://www.md5summer.org/md5sum.zip (COMMAND LINE VERSION) Extract this Zip file contents and put them into your Fastboot directory on your PC (make one in c drive). Download fastboot (ROMraid Load Balancing) fastboot.zip Extract fastboot on your Desktop (windows users do it on the root of C drive) Download 3.0.2.4: ClockworkMod Recovery recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-blade-g1.img Move the file recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-blade-g1.img into the fastboot directory ---- does this mean I make a folder called FASTBOOT in my C drive and put md5sum folder inside? Or The fastboot folder I downloaded should be placed in C drive and I also add md5sum?

Guest DannyDanny Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 put the fastboot files and the new clockwork image in a file on the root of your hard disk (eg called android) --- I have 3.0.2.4 in a zip file. Should I unzip this? I see 'META-INF' folder and 'recovery' file.
